Assisted Living Services

Our knowledgeable and experienced caregivers are ready to serve you!

What Is Assisted Living?

First of all, it is important to note that Assisted Living Communities are NOT the same as Skill Nursing Homes/Facilities. Learn the difference here.

For many reasons, people move to assisted living communities because they can no longer take care of themselves or you can no longer be the primary caregiver for your loved one(s).

The purpose of assisted living is to help your loved one(s) with day-to-day activities and personal care such as bathing, eating, showering, toileting, transferring in & out of the bed or chair, moving around the house, etc.

Our assisted living community has caregivers around 24/7, we help you with activities of daily living (ADLs), medication management, housekeeping, and providing nutritious meals.

This way, your loved one(s) can have extra time to enjoy doing things they love, talking to friends and families, and eating great food.

Respite Care / Short-Term Stay

Sometimes you may want to test drive the “community” or take a break yourself by trusting our community to care for your loved one(s) for a short-term. We can assure you that they will be a part of the community and able to participate in activities and socialize with other residents. It is also possible that they enjoy living with us so much, they don’t want to leave.

Extra Help Around The House

It is preferred to have elders age in place because change can be difficult for them. As we age, we might encounter different medical and health issues. Having a nurse and medical professional coming to your home would be nice to eliminate travel.

To better serve our residents, Huntington Manor partners with Hospice & Home Health organizations and Mobile Clinics. Hospice & Home Health organizations would help residents not only transition smoothly into their end of life stages with comfort, but also prevent major incidents that would need hospital care. With the combination of Hospice & Home Health and Mobile Clinic physician’s monitoring, we have a great understanding of the physical condition of the residents.

In addition, our partners also provide psychological support via psychiatrist, talk therapy, and Chaplain services.

Amenities & Activities

One of many benefits of living in an assisted living community is socialization. Unlike living at home alone, elders have people of similar age to make friends with. Huntington Manor prides itself on providing socializing activities for its residents to participate in. Some of the activities are:

  • Dog therapy
  • Music therapy
  • Movie nights
  • Bingo
  • Board Games
  • Gardening
  • Nature Walks

In addition, we are fortunate to be situated on a beautiful 3.5 acre land that offers the country-like feeling in the county of San Diego. Within our beautiful garden, there is a Koi fish pond and Chicken coops for your loved one(s) to enjoy and relax.
